What is a Nonsurgical BBL?

This is a newer option for patients seeking surgery alternatives due to personal preferences, concerns about the risks of an invasive surgical procedure, or downtime, or being ineligible for surgery.

Dr Burke performs nonsurgical BBLs using dermal fillers to volumize and reshape the buttocks. While fillers are most commonly recognized for correcting wrinkles and age-related facial volume loss, in recent years, some have emerged as an option for improving lift, projection, firmness and smoothness in the buttocks without anesthesia, lengthy downtime, significant discomfort or scars.

What Is the Nonsurgical BBL Treatment Like?

Our nonsurgical BBLs are designed to be convenient, efficient and tailored to your specific needs. Your journey begins with a thorough consultation in which we will discuss your goals and create a personalized treatment plan.

On the day of your treatment, we will apply a topical anesthetic to minimize any potential discomfort during the procedure. We will then strategically inject your selected filler into targeted areas of your buttocks using an ultra-fine needle. The injections are performed with precision and care to achieve your desired lift, projection and contour.

Is There Any Downtime After a Nonsurgical BBL?

With a nonsurgical approach, you can enjoy the benefits of buttock enhancement without the extensive downtime associated with surgery. Patients can typically resume their daily activities soon after a nonsurgical BBL, with little disruption to their normal routine.

Side effects are generally minimal, but you may experience some temporary effects at the injection sites. These can include mild swelling, redness, bruising or tenderness that usually subsides within a few days.

We will provide aftercare instructions to promote proper healing and enhance your results. You may be advised to avoid excessive pressure or prolonged sitting on the treated area temporarily, as well as to avoid strenuous physical activities for a short period of time. Following these guidelines helps to optimize your results.

What Results Can Be Achieved With a Nonsurgical BBL?

Patience is key when it comes to a nonsurgical BBL. Results appear gradually over several months, as new collagen develops and gives your gluteal region a more shapely and lifted appearance.

Most patients can enjoy the results of a Sculptra BBL or Radiesse BBL for one to two years, with some experiencing benefits that last even longer. With a Biostimulatory BBL, results can last up to five years. Dr. Burke prefers to use Bellafill when possible for Gluteal Augmentation-enhancement. Where this is not possible, Sculptra and Radiesse may be considered for treatment.
